this weekend has been full
full of people and food, laughter and catching up
enjoying treats brought for us from paris
sipping iced cold beer, listening to the cicadas
kids chasing dogs and playing in the sprinklers
today, a return to the quiet
watching jonny quest
drinking iced coffee
the day stretching wide open ahead of us
full of nothing and promise
how was your weekend?
ps: i bit the bullet and created a page on the effbooks for this here blog. you can find it here if you’re so inclined.
pps: kc interviewed me for an “In Her Shoes” feature. you can read it here.

Ours was so lovely. We got a babysitter for the first time. She is a baby/toddler whisper. I got to sew for a full hour undisturbed!! Here’s how our weekend looked. http://littlehomesteadinthedesert.blogspot.com/2012/07/weekending_29.html

It was a bit quiet here this weekend. Which was oh so good.
Amanda! I loved reading the interview — it’s so nice to learn more about you.

I enjoy most.
Here’s mine: http://www.shetoldstories.com/2012/07/weekending.html
Gifts from France and cold beer and sprinklers…..sounds like a great time! Glad you had some “quiet” in there, too.
Sounds like a wonderful weekend…complete with gifts from Paris! I share your feelings of FB. It is what you make of it, I think.
Our weekend: http://alifesustained.blogspot.com/2012/07/weekending_30.html
Sounds like a fine weekend…great to take the time to enjoy the outdoors. I so wish I’d allowed for more free time his summer. Sigh. Here’s mine: http://supermergentroidgal.blogspot.com/2012/07/weekending_30.html
Treats brought from Paris? Oh! I must know what they were so I can live vicariously through you. My weekend had no Parisian treats, but it did involve 5 hours relaxing poolside sans-kids. Bliss.
you? drinking iced coffee? nah.

I really want to join in with the weekending posts soon. For now I’ll just say I shot a lovely maternity session, took two naps trying to shake a cold, and enjoyed a stay from my mother-in-law.
i always enjoy reading about your weekends!
and i enjoyed the interview as well…so fun to learn more about you.
{i find lower case letters delightful too!}
a beautiful weekend, sounds just perfect , off to read the interview now!
i loved your description of your weekend. mine was nice too. including so many other things i got to hold the smallest baby i’ve ever held before, it was actually the tiniest little baby i’ve ever seen. he is quite healthy and even got to go home with his mama already, so we don’t need to worry too much about his size anymore. so, overall, it was a special weekend!
Hmmm…are you feeling OK? A page on effbooks? I do believe that it’s snowing in Hades….just a little ribbing, but I am surprised…and your 36th like ; ) Hope you can enjoy it.
